Transition to Web3 Careers
The internet has greatly evolved since 1989, the year of its inception.
Eric Jorgenson describes Web3 as “Costless Transactions”. He summarizes the stages of Web1, Web2, and Web3 as:
-Web1 = ~Costless Publications
-Web2 = ~Costless Communications
-Web3 = ~Costless Transactions
In the information age and birth of the creator economy, we are in a niche position in history where the individual has root access and ownership to their work, and it can be monetized directly online, without the need for a middle-man or corporation.
The Web3 future is still evolving and unfolding, but there are (remote-friendly) new opportunities and work prospects that are constantly emerging in this space. Importantly, the cost to join online movements in Web3 are near zero, and given that it is a new field, there is no educational prerequisites or knowledge gate-keeping around learning, joining, and playing around in the Web3 space.
