Online counselling for individuals and couples in British Columbia and across Canada.

You can understand the pattern and still find yourself inside it. Counselling offers somewhere to slow it down, notice what keeps happening, and work with more than the explanation alone.

“I understand the pattern.”
“I still get pulled into it.”

Who I work with

You might keep functioning while stress follows you home. The same relationship pattern returns. Or your own wants get harder to hear underneath work, family, or cultural expectations.

I often connect well with people who carry responsibility, read the room with heightened awareness, or have already considered the problem from every angle.

Individual counselling

For adults and teens generally 14+ who want space to understand what is happening emotionally, bodily, relationally, and practically. This can include people who relate to ideas such as being a highly sensitive person, neurodivergence, or ADHD and want to better understand their capacity, needs, and ways of processing.

  • Chronic stress, anxiety, burnout, or low mood
  • Family, cultural, identity, and belonging concerns
  • Life transitions, grief, trauma, or feeling stuck
  • Social effort, masking, and recovery after contact

Couples counselling

For couples who keep getting pulled into the same cycle, even when both want things to go differently. You may feel angry, distant, defensive, unheard, or unsure how to reach each other without the conversation going off track. Underneath the conflict, both of you may be protecting needs that are difficult to name or express.

  • Recurring arguments in different forms
  • Anger, distance, defensiveness, or silence
  • Communication, trust, and changing roles
  • Understanding the cycle rather than deciding who is right

What working together is like

Counselling can be practical and go deeper than problem solving.

A lot of people I work with have already done plenty of thinking about what is going on. Insight matters, but insight alone does not always change how something feels or what keeps happening.

My style is reflective, patient, and curious. I attune to thoughts, emotions, bodily experience, relationships, culture, and the circumstances around you. I generally work in a non-directive way, while offering more structure or direction when that support would be helpful.

My work is relational and integrative. I draw from EMDR and emotionally focused therapy, along with attachment, parts-oriented, somatic, psychodynamic, and cognitive theories of healing. These are ways of understanding the work, not a script applied to everyone.

Frequently asked

Questions you may have.

Do I need a consultation before booking?

No. You are welcome to book a free 15-minute consultation or begin with a full session. A consultation is useful if you have questions or want a brief sense of fit first.

Do I need to know exactly what I want to work on?

No. We can begin with whatever you are noticing or wherever you feel stuck in life right now.

Do you work with clients outside British Columbia?

I provide online counselling in British Columbia and across Canada. Suitability can depend on your location and circumstances, so please get in touch if you are unsure.

Will my insurance cover sessions?

Many plans from Pacific Blue Cross, Sun Life, Canada Life, Manulife, and Desjardins include coverage for Registered Clinical Counsellors. Coverage, limits, and reimbursement rules vary by plan, so please confirm the details directly with your provider.

Do you offer sliding-scale appointments?

My standard fee applies whenever possible. If affordability would prevent you from accessing counselling, you are welcome to ask about a limited sliding-scale space. Availability depends on current capacity and cannot be guaranteed.

Do you work with teens?

Yes. I generally work with teens aged 14 and older through individual counselling. Client privacy and confidentiality are maintained, with the usual safety limits explained clearly.

Can couples counselling help if we keep having the same argument?

Yes. We can slow the pattern down and look at what happens between you, including the feelings, reactions, and protective responses that keep pulling both partners back into the same conflict.

Do you offer counselling through ICBC, CVAP, or FNHA?

Yes. I work with eligible clients through these programs in coordination with No Fear Counselling. You can email me or book a free consultation if you would like help finding the appropriate intake route.
