Peer Relationships
We are a part of different peer groups throughout our lives. You may have peers in school or at work, and could be a part of some social club or group.
You may come across different problems between people in your peer group. You might feel antagonized, lied to, or bullied. Perhaps you feel like you can’t voice your opinions or be assertive with your needs. In other cases, there might be some inevitable conflict that you’re worried about how to resolve. It be the case that you’ve noticed the same types of problems come up again and again in different interpersonal contexts, and you’re wondering about how to best work through these issues.
These feelings are normal, and show that you care about these relationships. Working together, we can work through challenging interpersonal issues and address the mental burden that goes into making and maintaining long-lasting social connections. Together, we can work towards building healthy, sustainable, and long-term relationships with your peers.
