Behavioural Issues
As humans, we typically operate between our Thoughts-Feelings-Behaviours
While we might have negative thoughts or feelings, our behaviours are what we display to the world. This means that what we do and don’t do, has a big impact on how we interact with others and the world around us.
Given that we are influenced by this triangle of Thoughts-Feelings-Behaviours, behavioural issues can be rooted in many other causes, such as thoughts of self-doubt, or aversive feelings keeping you from behaving a certain way. For example, you might avoid social interaction (Behaviour) if you feel socially anxious (Feeling) and think that others are constantly judging you (Thought).
Behavioural issues can involve repetitive behaviours (doing something too much), or the avoidance of behaviours altogether (doing something too little). They look differently across ages and contexts – children may have different behavioural issues than teens, adults, and seniors.
You might have noticed changes in your behaviour more recently, or have been struggling with behavioural issues for a long time.
We can work collaboratively to tackle these issues, and promote more positive and adaptive behaviours and improving your quality of life.
