About

Born in India and raised in BC, I really value having grown up in culturally diverse life contexts, and I incorporate cultural context frequently in how I adapt and work with diverse clients. My formal training is rooted in the scientist-practitioner model. I have published academic research on career development for diverse clients and cross-cultural counselling. I've also written some blog posts on the process of psychotherapy, what makes therapy good or bad, and other things, like exploring and understanding our human needs.I value and incorporate perspectives from both Western and Eastern theories of healing, and I speak Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu. Some of my previous academic work has been on topics including culturally adapted counselling/psychotherapy, ethics, cognitive sciences, decentralized networks, and political psychology.Outside of work, I enjoy cycling, lifting, and studying decentralized systems, including blockchain technology.
